Six Things I Wonder on A Monday's Eve
2. What posseses someone to think, "The mundane details of their life are so riveting that I think I'll watch a reality TV program about them. I'm fascinated by them and their life."
3. Will the grass ever be green again?
4. Why do I keep smelling bacon?
5. Will Kieran ever learn to talk?
6. Is it possible to partake in too many of Dominos 2-medium-pizzas deals? (I"m gonna go ahead and answer this one with a "no.")

And we wonder why our country is in trouble

Oops
An actor has almost died after slashing his throat on stage with a real knife instead of a blunt prop knife.
Daniel Hoevels, 30, was performing in Friedrich Schiller's play Mary Stuart, about Mary Queen of Scots at Vienna's Burgtheater in Austria at the weekend.Hoevels's character was to commit suicide in the drama, a scene that was to be acted out with a blunt stage weapon. But he had been given a real blade instead, London's Telegraph said.
He collapsed with blood pouring from his neck, and the audience members started applauding what they thought were the spectacular special effects, the Telegraph said. It was only when Hoevels failed to get up to take a bow that they realised something was wrong, it said.Police were investigating the incident as a possible murder attempt, and would not rule out the possibility a jealous rival might have switched the blades. Police were told the knife was bought at a local store, and were investigating whether props
staff forgot to blunt the blade, the Telegraph said."The knife even still had the price tag on it," a police investigator said. The actor had emergency treatment at a local hospital. "If Hoevels had hit an artery or cut only slightly deeper, he would have died on stage," a doctor said. Remarkably, Hoevels returned to the stage the next night with a bandage on his neck.

Excuse me, your bias is showing
The love affair the non-Fox networks are having with Obama is almost unbelievable. Daily, there's a Palin-bashing article, along with a "guess who supports Obama today?" proclamation. So quick to point out any semblance of a gaffe on McCain/Palin's part, did any of them (besides Fox) pounce on the glaring mistake by Biden a few weeks ago?
And are any of them (besides Fox) reporting on Obama's glowing endorsement of a book by former domestic terrorist William Ayers?
Yeah, there's some bias going on all right, but I don't think FoxNews needs to shoulder the moniker by itself. There's plenty of bias to go around for those who don't want to stick their heads in the sand and pretend it doesn't exist. As has been pointed out so many times before, everyone has a bias -- news media included. It just depends on which bias is the best bias to have.

Riddle Me This
February 13, 2008
Does she realize what she's saying?
Um, all of them? Does she really think that pre-born babies are dead before they are killed?A U.K. hospital told an expectant mother she had miscarried at eight weeks, but a scan of the woman's womb a month later revealed she still was pregnant, The Daily Mail reported.
Catherine Kent, 27, and her partner, Kevin Gray, 28, were devastated when they were told she had miscarried. Kent was offered an abortion or pills to shorten the length of the miscarriage. She refused, opting to allow the fetus to pass naturally, according to the report.
Although the couple was delighted to find out the baby still was alive, they were furious that the Sunderland Royal Hospital had made a mistake that had caused them so much grief.
"What if I had taken the tablets they offered me?" Kent told the Daily Mail. "They could have left my baby severely disabled, or it could have died. They could've aborted my baby while it was alive. How can the hospital make a mistake like that? How many other people have taken the tablets or had an abortion when their baby was alive all the time?"

The Definition of Irony
The quote below appears in an article on a new documentary about abortion (also known as baby-killing). Obviously I don't agree with those who bomb abortion clinics or advocate killing doctors who kill babies, but this really takes the cake. Imagine someone who is pro killing babies condemning someone else for killing:
"This was not a balanced portrayal of the issue," said Carol King, former National Organization for Women board member and abortion-rights activist, who has seen the documentary. "One of the things that has upset me more than anything else is the [comparison] of the anti-choice extremists to pro-choice activists. I have never encouraged in any way to kill people with whom I disagree."No, you just encourage women to kill their babies before said babies have a chance to disagree with you. That's rich.

What is wrong with these people?
I'm blessed to have a husband who keeps me grounded.
"I think I"ll try out for So You Think You Can Dance."
"You can't dance."
"Yes I can."
"No you can't. You stink at dancing."
"Might as well give it a try."
"You're too old."
If only those deluded dancers had such a person in their lives to keep them in touch with reality.
Note to the American public: If you think you can dance, you probably can't dance.
